The Monster
of Frankenstein series was launched in January 1973,
and Marvel no doubt had high hopes that this classic
figure of the horror genre would follow in the footsteps
of the success of Tomb of Dracula, which had hit the
market in April 1972. However, The Monster of Frankenstein (renamed The Frankenstein Monster after five issues) failed to leave a lasting mark and only had a short-lived publication run of 18 issues between January 1973 and September 1975. |
